EMS, Inc., was tasked to support the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) 14th Community Involvement Training Conference, which was held this August in Atlanta, GA. This biennial conference brought together more than 450 community involvement practitioners representing federal, state, and local governments; community groups and other nonprofit organizations; academia; and the private sector. The theme, Making a Visible Difference in Communities, reinforced the conference's mission to share information, tools, and resources that are necessary to successfully engage and inform communities impacted by, or concerned with, environmental issues and problems. EMS has supported this training program since its inception, and is proud to have had the opportunity to contribute to the conference's success.
